This transformation focused on connecting all living spaces within the floor plan, creating a continuous flow from the public spaces to the private ones. The kitchen workspace is easily accessed from circulation paths and adjacent rooms. It remained where it existed, but opened itself to the wall of windows facing northwest.  Facing the dining and living spaces, the kitchen island becomes the central core to main level living.

As one enters the home, their view is directed towards the new wall of windows and tall fireplace element, detailed in a rich vertical tile.  The fireplace emphasizes the height of the space nicely as it is now proportional to the volume of the room.

" You get to know that Vicki and I are thrilled with how the place has turned out!  The design details came out in a spectacular way.  ...  The place just looks spectacular.  It feels so open - especially when the light enters from all those tall windows. "

Detailing throughout the space is simplistic to emphasize the Owners unique and wonderful art pieces. The wood tones and layers of light soften the clean lines of the entire space.

Custom handrail and guardrail at the stair also welcome you as you first enter through the home.  A simple, yet sophisticated, detail.

"So, a very grateful 'Thank You' to you for making all this possible. This is just such a great way for us to start the new year."

During the design process, the Architect, Mark Tremmel and the involved Clients worked closely to leverage the gorgeous views and outdoor spaces to form beautiful places for their everyday activities. The final design was a result of great collaboration between the Clients, Tremmel Design Group, and the contractor.
