Since TDG participated in AIA of Southern Colorado‘s Architecture firm spotlight, we got some great insights from the team and why they do what they do. This week, we hear from Rick Hibbard and why he likes architecture and specifically in Southern Colorado!
“I enjoy the combination of art and utility. I like that spaces can be pragmatic and aesthetically pleasing all at the same time. I also enjoy venturing into the field while projects are under construction because I like seeing a project go from conception to reality. During these outings, I get to problem solve on-the-go. I enjoy working with contractors back and forth to solve problems real time and make sure the project is done well.
For me, working in architecture in Southern Colorado has to do with community. I grew up here, and positively impacting my community is extremely special to me. Working with Mark Tremmel is also a unique opportunity, because of his involvement in Urban Design. Most architects don’t get to do that, and it’s a privilege to work on projects in that scope with him.”
